GENERAL TERMS OF BUSINESS

OUR PROMISE TO YOU

When you buy body jewelry from SPEEDY BODY JEWELRY, we undertake to:

  • Process your order as quickly and efficiently as we can (usually within 24 hours)
  • Keep you informed at all stages
  • Protect your Personal and Financial data in compliance with the relevant laws
  • Respond to any queries you may have in a helpful and timely fashion

Basically, we’re going to do everything we can to make sure you have a great experience with SPEEDY BODY JEWELRY!

SHIPPING

UK & IRELAND DELIVERY

Standard UK and Ireland Delivery for orders less than £10.00 costs £1.50.
Items are sent First Class and usually delivered the next day (Ireland may take longer).

Standard UK and Ireland Delivery for orders of £10.00 or more is FREE.
Items are sent First Class and usually delivered the next day (Ireland may take longer).

*IMPORTANT*

Royal Mail only offer compensation of £20 for lost First Class packages.
If your order value is significantly more than this we recommend using the optional Signed-For or Special Delivery service.

First Class Signed-For costs £2.00 and will cover you up to £50.

Special Delivery costs £7.00, but contents are covered up to a value of £500 and Delivery is “Guaranteed” to be the next day.

All items are sealed in clear polythene bags and sent out in plain padded envelopes.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY

Standard Delivery to the Euro Zone is £3.00.
Items are sent by Royal Mail Airmail Small Packets and are usually delivered within 5 days.

Standard Delivery to the Rest of the World is £3.50.
Items are sent by Royal Mail International Economy and can take 1 to 2 weeks depending on the destination.

*IMPORTANT*

The Royal Mail Airmail Small Packets service will only compensate you up to £20 for lost packages.
The Royal Mail International Economy service will only compensate you up to £20 for lost packages.

We recommend that European Union customers use the International Signed-For service for orders over £20.
If your order is for significantly more than £50 and you need it to be sent outside the UK, we will contact you to discuss alternative delivery methods.

All items are sealed in clear polythene bags before dispatch.
Items being sent to EU countries will be sent in plain padded envelopes.
For the Rest of the World, package contents must be identified for Customs purposes.
We mark the package contents as “Body Jewelry”.

LOST PACKAGES

Please let us know immediately if a package has not arrived in time, but keep in mind that delivering mail is a very complex process and sometimes delays are unavoidable.
Our Lost package policy below is based on Royal Mail policy.

UK – First Class and First Class Signed-For packages are only considered lost by the Royal Mail 15 working days after the due date of delivery. In other words, three weeks after we post them out. We’re sorry, but we can’t do anything about it until then. But don’t wait three weeks to tell us – let us know straight away so we’re on top of the situation.

UK – Special Delivery packages are “guaranteed” by the Royal Mail to be delivered the next day. Obviously they can be delayed like any other package, but if you’ve not received a Special Delivery package by the day after dispatch, please contact us straight away.

INTERNATIONAL – Airmail Small Packages and International Signed-For packages to the EU are only considered lost by the Royal Mail 20 working days after the due date; for the Rest of the World it is 25 working days.

Taking into account that they may take up to 5 days anyway, this works out as 5 weeks after postage for European customers and 6 weeks after postage for the Rest of the World.

It’s a long wait, but unfortunately we’re unable to do anything until then.

RETURNS, REFUNDS, REPLACEMENTS

RETURNS

All items of body jewelry are carefully inspected and then sealed in clear polythene bags before dispatch.
Refunds and replacements can only be processed for items that are still in the sealed polythene bag.
The only exception to this rule is when the item of body jewelry is faulty in some way that is not obvious from visual inspection.
Dirty or damaged items that are not in the sealed polythene bag cannot be refunded or replaced and should not be returned.

You can return an item of body jewelry for a full refund or replacement up to 30 days from your receipt of the item. After 30 days we reserve the right to process any returns.

If you wish to return an item of body jewelry bought from SPEEDY BODY JEWELRY, please notify us immediately of your intention, by phone or email.

REFUNDS

If the item of body jewelry is still sealed in the polythene bag and is obviously dirty or damaged in some way, we accept responsibility for that and we will refund you in full for the item and the cost of the return postage.

If you’re returning the item just because you don’t like it or you changed your mind (it happens!) then we’ll only refund you for the cost of the item. In that instance we hope you agree it’s fair that you should foot the bill for postage. And remember – the item must still be in its sealed polythene bag.

PLEASE NOTE: If the item of body jewelry you want refunded formed part of an order that qualified for FREE SHIPPING, and if the absence of the item means the original order would not have qualified for FREE SHIPPING, we will deduct £2.00 from your refund to cover this.

You will receive email notification of the refund when it is complete.

REPLACEMENTS

If the item of body jewelry is still sealed in the polythene bag and is obviously dirty or damaged in some way, we accept responsibility for that and we will replace the item and refund the cost of the return postage. If an exact replacement is not available immediately, we’ll get in touch and try to sort something out that works for you.

As with refunds, if you’re returning the item just because you don’t like it or you changed your mind, we think it’s fair that you pay the postage costs.
If the replacement item of body jewelry is of less value than the original item plus postage, we will refund the difference. If you want to replace an item of body jewelry with one of greater value, you will need to pay the difference before we can process your request.

Shipping costs will apply as normal when we send out the replacement.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected by any of the above.
